here is how the map is at the moment, I have almost everyting working and where I should be according to Russ so I need to get my characters animated with the help of josh!
I have done more work on my paper after rachel gave me a tonne of feedback as well as working on the Barn and getting the Strom production documents up and running.
I was setting up the cinematic for the parents interview and had a little mishap with the physics solver which proved interesting!
Flowchart for the BARN
Here is my final copy of my research paper! It covers everything that I talked about in my seminar though some things I said in the seminar are a bit condensed in the paper as I talked a lot and it wouldn't all fit in my paper! A lot of things I talked about that I had to condense such as BeamNG.drive isn't essential to the paper but was interesting enough to put into the seminar. If you are interested in anything to do with physics in UE4 or fluid simulations hit me up!
So i have officially finished my presentation! Yay!
It goes for 20 minutes at home presenting to the dog so it will be very close to 20 minutes at the presentation!
Here is the document as a pdf without the media in it because you will see it tomorrow anyway!
so i think my seminar is ready, need to add one more slide about current use of physics I think. I have 'presented' it three times and gotten around 18 minutes so with the extra slide it should be pretty good timing!
I have fixed up the majority of issues raised in class today, still adding some things and hopefully it'll be a good presentation!
I updated my old document and have it pretty much done, just need to work on my presentation now.
this weekend I mostly worked on my research paper and getting my presentation ready for Friday. I talk about the different forms of physics within game engines and the future applications of physics in real time rendering. The paper is all written and laid out though I will get critique on it and see how it goes.
Here is the progress:
I will mainly be working on the research paper this weekend so I will be working at home where it is a bit better to write an essay.
Hey what up guys!
I have made heaps of progress on the Barn, I have made a lot of blueprinting, have most assets underway, just need to import them mostly and set them all up.
so this is what I want to do for the second assessment: A young man visiting their grandparents farm in 1988 must unravel their secret past lives to escape a KGB agent.
It will be a puzzle/exploration game where you learn the history of your grandparents. Gameplay will be pretty similiar to The Guest http://store.steampowered.com/app/402040/ but without the horror aspect.
Here is a little layout and a bit of gameplay mechanic testing I did in a few days to get the feel and scale of the game, of course there will be more: https://youtu.be/p6n3TaOIPxI
well everything I did in the last five days just corrupted/failed on three different hard drives. I will see whether anything can be recovered in the morning.

New Rolling Edit with new voice actor: https://youtu.be/KT8NbzWUQCY
Cute render: http://imgur.com/a/ZJ52o
Current rolling edit to test out render times, look and stereo with progression of animation and cameras, I am unsure of the background and the stereo separation looks good to me on the projector (though i forgot to key the seperation in the middle so it goes a bit crazy) but not sure if I should expand it more but I like it: https://youtu.be/7rLARGPn40M
New rolling edit with some script update and new story: https://youtu.be/VuhiB7FKVV4
I tested rendering 5 frames to see if the Maxwell grass played up like it did in the Storm, however, the source of the problem in the storm grass was that I was using a LOD on the grass so as the camera moved it alter the grass blades to fit with the specified LOD so the grass was haywire, however, I am not using LOD in this production and the grass is stable and staying put: http://i.imgur.com/7GM4DPd.gif
I test animated texture blinks to see how they looked: http://i.imgur.com/jWgIhtV.gifv
I pumped out the new rolling edit, think it is better with telling a visual story about the Koala with the narration as a secondary item. I am still not sure exactly how to tell the story though, but here it is, hopefully I'll be able to develop the story more effectively before Wednesday: https://youtu.be/xPj79VebttU
