hey guys,
tried to see if my koala could display emotions without a face to see how the body emotes, ears make a wonderful emoting tool so I made three different emotions in my eyes and would like to see if others can empathise the Koalas emotion? https://youtu.be/Lq1GcprtHTM http://imgur.com/a/BIdI4 Hey guys!
Look i am aiming for: http://imgur.com/a/k6yDv Some key concept frames: http://imgur.com/a/8xdZh I render out the frames in Maxwell, physical rendering makes it look a lot more miniture with accurate focus giving it a more cutesy look suitable for kids, worked from home today so I had to use my demo licence of maxwell to render hence the watermark. Would be helpful to have a student licence... New animatic, has camera moves in it that are better yet I still have no idea how to visualise certain parts so they are left static as for now until I get advice tomorrow in class and at dailies. It still needs work but it works better I think: youtu.be/HZZYBuvGeU8 hey guys,
after class today I have made some changes to my animatic focusing on: -Camera angles/movement -Representation of visual concepts -focusing on the cuteness of the koala -using the narration to accompany the visuals not drive them -also tested out a texture of the eyes on the koala http://imgur.com/a/U9vAk I made a quick 3D Animatic because I wasn't able to draw the movement of trees growing: youtu.be/RTCEHbflbFk
hey guys!
I tried to create a more low poly looking koala to suit my style I am for: not sure if it still looks weird or not but I think it looks a bit weird: http://imgur.com/a/Beysl Hey guys,
sent this rolling edit to the client and added the first sort of concept frames for the style that I was going for and asked them to see what they think! https://youtu.be/4pLk7t9sMts https://youtu.be/RyRfJpPsRWY Hey guys,
Started to make a little test of the sort of style I am thinking of along with the basic script reading to keep everything timed. Here video of a quick render in maya software and the script: https://youtu.be/CYdx_LL87vc looking at about 1 minute 12 seconds long. Also, I added some music to get the feel for the sort of tone of the production. Got a storyboard up and ready to view: http://imgur.com/lIHCOBt
Started designing and roughly modelling my koala character using these as reference and look development:http://imgur.com/a/8fsmb Community organisation: Koala Hospital, http://www.koalahospital.org.au/
Logline: To raise awareness about the loss of habitat for Koalas and the solutions to prevent this loss. Competitive frame: This video explains the loss of Koala habitat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSVMP4cwnXA Deforestation infographic in Australia: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKLt6NVUzio’ Infographic on a specific Animal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SrYWN1aqxmM Script: Shot 1 - Australia is a unique place; 92 million hectares of Australia is covered by Eucalyptus trees. Shot 2 - Living among these trees is the Koala one of only three animals that can survive off a diet of Eucalyptus leaves. Shot 3 - Koalas consume 200 to 500 grams of Eucalyptus leaves each and sleep for 22 hours a day. Shot 4 - Koalas are one of the most iconic Australian animals; yet they are rapidly slipping toward extinction. Shot 5 - In New South Wales and Queensland Koalas are listed as vulnerable to extinction. Shot -6- One of the largest threats to Koalas is deforestation. Shot 7 - Koalas entire lives depend on the availability of Eucalyptus trees, as deforestation of the Eucalypt forests occurs, Koalas are losing their homes and food source. Shot 8 - Without a large availability of Eucalyptus trees, Koalas are stranded without any chance of survival. Shot 9 - Deforestation is destroying the lives of every Koala in Australia. Shot 10 - If deforestation of eucalyptus trees was stopped, Koalas would be able to survive, leaving Australia’s cutest animal to thrive for future generations to see. Shot 11 - Help the Koalas, stop the deforestation. Finally finished the storm woo!!!
Production: https://youtu.be/5550U3w1TyU Showreel: https://youtu.be/_bsrwW4XUqg hi everyone!!
so everything is coming together but still not sure if I will be able to be rendered in time for assessment... my epiphany about using UE4 particles for rain has be proven true so i can now import y objects into UE4 and render out some nice rain with collisions for compositing in nuke which i also properly tested today to ensure the everything is running smoothly and it is and the mxi files out of Maxwell are working amazingly well in nuke for adjusting colourspace and everything. so good day. here is a video of the ue4 rain over the mxi renders to see how they would work together. there is weird white lines that are caused by encoding out of nuke as a mov: https://youtu.be/UUBjyCD4Ds0 Started the rendering process! Got the renderfarm working with Pat so if all goes well and the stupid licencing transfer doesn't affect much this weekend then I will be able to render out all of the Left camera for Scene_01 and Scene_03 and start rendering Scene_02 on Monday but probably won't happen seeing as the licensing will be down.
http://imgur.com/a/XEP76 Hey guys,
I have done some more work on Josh's set, the city skyline is just a low res photo to get a preview and see if that's what josh wants, also added a sandpit and a swing set! http://imgur.com/a/KJ64b hey everyone,
haven't written anything in a while just been pictures and videos> I have done up a spreadsheet of how long each scene will take to render and through my magic excel skills I have found that if i allow 60 mins for one frame each it will take 5.45 days to render which seeing as I plan to start rendering tomorrow is pretty good, leaves lots of time to do other work! Realflow sims of the Captain and First mate will take around a day so all good there and then they can render too! Some tests of grass cutoff maps, excel, lightning lighting test and a stereo image test: http://imgur.com/a/Ge5A8 Some super fun test with the Ship Mesh as it gets meshed today!
http://imgur.com/a/jLdMy and an awesome render of the set and the new VDB Clouds!!! http://i.imgur.com/fzUISpL.png Super quick test of the title particles https://youtu.be/9dlYdJhJ0iU Hey guys
today I did quite a bit, I have a few issues however, Maxwell Render seems to have lost its trolley and cant activate its license which means I can't render anything which is kinda an issue when I wanted to be rendering today. But anywho, it will be fixed tomorrow hopefully. I have also finalised the rolling edit https://youtu.be/gEv4lUPCePI |
