Stereo Version
A variety of productions for a university assignment to create using Motion Capture technology and incorporating stereoscopy into the final productions. Many productions were created entirely in Maya using the imported Motion Capture data through the pipeline from Motive into Motion Builder for characterization, and basic clean up and final import into Maya with the data assigned to the character. This allowed the characters to have already very clean motion when adding animation layers to enhance the characters performance. For this assessment I worked on three productions in a different variety of roles for each production. I worked as Director for Beat It Quietly, Director/Producer for Fruit Burst and Motion Capture/Animator for Passages. I performed a variety of roles on each production dependent on the need and time restrictions. On Beat It Quietly I was Director, as such I focused more upon the story and look rather than the technical aspects, however, I did do a large section of character creation, set design and rendering of the scene. As the sole crew member for Fruit Burst I was in charge of time management, look and design as well as technical aspects such as fluid simulation, rendering and animation. For Passages I was the Motion Capture/Animator for the main character. This involved taking instructions from the Director/Producer and creating the animation that was suitable for the Director in a timely fashion. |
